The Biography of Rude Dog's Rhythm Revue

A resident of Baltimore these past ten years, Chicago native Rudy "Rude Dog" Strukoff found his way to the mid-Atlantic by way of Albuquerque, NM where he formed his first band in 1994, the Easy Street Blues Band. In the past 10 years, Rude Dog has developed into a strong front man, guitarist and vocalist as the driving force behind Baltimore's source for the best in Funk-a-fied R & B, the Rhythm Revue & Show Band.

Rude and his band can be seen in Baltimore's infamous Fells Point area and points in and around Baltimore, D.C., Annapolis and southern Pennsylvania. The band brings a high energy performance to every gig lead by Rude's powerful vocals and strong driving groove.

Since 2001, Rude Dog has released five CD's under his own moniker, including "The Dog Is In The House," "Baptism In Blue" and "My Little Hampden Hon." Rude is also responsible for producing two sampler disks featuring Baltimore's best blues bands for the LaChica Records releases, "Baltimore On Tap" and "Live at the Cat's Eye." When not working, Rude loves to take in blues shows around the country while he explores the roots of his passion.

Rude's music is strongly influenced by blues legends, John Lee Hooker, Muddy Waters and Albert King. You might as well throw in Freddie and

B.B. too. Other influences include, J. J. Cale, Eric Clapton and Van Morrison. And you might as well sprinkle in some Rolling Stones and Led Zeppelin for good measure. You will typically see a selection from  these artists' catalogs at any of Rude Dog's gigs.

The band line-up current includes Linwood Taylor on guitar and vocals. Sometimes, you'll see Rude joined on stage by Automatic Slim or Erik Olsen.  The band is ready to play when they show up. So get on the phone or email the band today to get them booked into your club

or special event.
